About Cargo
Cargo began in 1995 as a home-grown Portland project to connect the city with artists and artisans from around the world. They direct import furniture, architectural pieces, textiles, ephemera, jewelry, and party goods.
Looking for a new space
Cargo was starting to outgrow their previous location and enlisted the help of Urban Works to find their new home. The owners were looking for a space that felt authentic, and had some character to compliment their whimsical nature of their products.
The Cargo Building
Urban Works worked with Cargo to expand into a warehouse space that was in the process of being redeveloped. The restored brick building, now named "The Cargo Building" is also home to Kure Juice and office tenants on the second floor including Urban Works.
