About Green Zebra
Portland's newest healthy neighborhood food grocer is on a mission to increase access to delicious and healthy food. Green Zebra's founder is the former New Seasons CEO and left to start her own neighborhood grocer chain, where convenience and quality were the main goals.
Starting with the Flagship Location
Having worked with Urban Works while running New Seasons, Green Zebra's founder came to us to help her find a location for Green Zebra's flagship store. Several neighborhoods and locations were identified and Green Zebra is now open for business on N Lombard in a second generation store. Built to suit in the 40's for Safeway, then later turned into a pizza restaurant, the flagship location was once again a home for a grocery store - 60 years later.
Expansion Goals
Green Zebra is on a path to open up to 25 stores in Oregon. To date, Urban Works has represented the grocer on the initial 4 locations. Look for a Green Zebra store near you. Set to open are the following location: 7,000 SF location at SE 50th & Division in 2018.
