Wayfinder
304 SE 2nd Ave Portland, OR
Craft Beer And Brewing included Wayfinder in their Best of 2018 article, naming it one of the top three small breweries in the nation.
“I was told I had to go to Wayfinder Beer … when I visited Portland, Oregon. “Their lagers are unreal—they brew a Czech dark lager.” Tmave?! … So in June, as instructed, I went down to have a pint of their Hidden Hand Czech dark lager. See, I do this thing when I have a pint that speaks to me; I drum the bar or table in front of me real fast after the first sip. I don’t know why I do it, but I do. And I did it with this beer, by myself, during a crowded lunch rush at Wayfinder. It’s one of the best beer experiences of 2018.”
Mother’s Bistro & Bar
319 SW Pine St. Portland, OR
Mother’s is currently in progress of putting together their new space. Oregon’s Daily Journal of Commerce reports on the ongoing renovation.
“When Lisa Schroeder opened Mother’s Bistro in 2000, she may not have imagined that the restaurant would become popular enough to outgrow its space in downtown Portland’s historic Concord Building. Fast forward to 2018, however, and she and her eatery are expanding from one National Register of Historic building to another, located just blocks away. Mother’s will open early next year in an 8,000 square foot ground space in the Multnomah Hotel building, which houses the Embassy Suites by Hilton.
