After a yearlong journey, the former Firestone auto mechanic shop in downtown Lake Oswego will become Duke’s Public House sometime this summer. This idea came to life from Eric Mann, who is experienced in the Lake Oswego dining scene after opening Aji Tram in 2014, and Urban Works Broker and Lake Oswego resident Rob Moneyhan. The Moneyhans and Manns felt like Lake Oswego needed an establishment that welcomes all kinds of individuals and groups. A place where families, friends, and kids can be at home with one another outside of their own space. The Portland Business Journal recently did an article on Duke’s Public House and reported that, “Both families are passionate about supporting those with special needs and feel it is deeply important that this is a place that appreciates and respects human differences.”
Duke’s Public House will have something for everyone. Plenty of TV’s for sports, a menu with “elevated bar food” and a selection of drinks from the Northwest, along with a heated, covered patio that will feature a large selection of outdoor games. There will even be a grab-and-go market so you can enjoy offerings from Duke’s Public House anywhere.
